I really do leave work at work.

01. SET IT UP. ONCE. Set up systems that keep you from answering the same questions, finding the same things, collecting the same papers, and solving the same problems all year. You'll see how I handle my monthly calendar, absent work, student supplies, turn-in system, and teaching students where to look before they ask me. 02. TEACH WITHOUT CREATING MORE WORK. Quicker warm-ups. Fewer grades. Tackling homework. Addressing notebook checks. And a very intentional line between a student who needs help and a student who needs to use the resources already available to them. 03. MAKE GRADING SUCK LESS. I still grade for accuracy. I just don't create piles of unnecessary things to grade.
