Give your students more freedom with their math notes! These Algebra 1 Bullet Notes combine the organization of guided notes with the flexibility of a bullet journal. Students can write, circle, underline, color, and doodle as they work through math concepts.

Unlike traditional guided notes, these printable math notebook pages give students room to organize information in a way that works for them. They're less structured than guided notes but not as busy as doodle notes.

What's Included?

  • 41 math skills covering Algebra 1 concepts

  • Two versions of each topic: a lightly structured notes page and a blank version

  • Math notebook organization pages, including a table of contents, calendars, schedules, and goal-setting pages

  • Editable PowerPoint template for creating your own notes and calendar pages

  • Instructional video links showing how to customize the templates and PDF

  • Digital Version in Google Slides

How Do the Bullet Notes Work?

Each math topic includes two note-taking options:

  • Lightly Structured Notes: Pages with headings, sections, and prompts to help students organize key concepts and examples.

  • Blank Bullet Notes: Topic-specific pages with open space for students to create their own notes, diagrams, examples, and explanations.

You can use the structured pages when students need more guidance and the blank pages when you want to give them more flexibility.

An editable PowerPoint template is also included so you can create additional notes and calendar pages. PowerPoint is required to use the editable template.

FAQ

  • Include questions a potential student may have before purchase.

Honestly, no. Some students need structure and need traditional guided notes. These notes are good for students who are able to take notes without so much structure.

  • Are these CCSS or TEKS aligned?

The notes work with my grade level curriculum. If you are using my curriculum, they will work alongside it well and give you the opportunity to scaffold the way you give notes.

  • Is there an answer key?

Yes! There are "sample" pages with answers and sample problems when applicable (taken from my curriculum notes). But please do not make your students think their notes have to look like the sample (you shouldn't think that either!) Creativity and personality need to come into play!

  • Is it editable?

Yes and no. The PDF is not editable but there is a 55+ slide PowerPoint included that contains all of the skill pages and blank student organization pages so you can make them your own!

  • Can I Customize the Math Notebook?

Yes! You can add, delete, duplicate, and rearrange pages to create a math notebook that fits your curriculum and teaching style.
